Lavender Earl Grey

Lavender Earl Grey

from $2.95

Earl Grey meets fragrant blue lavender. This delicious tea is citrusy, floral, slightly sweet and creamy.

History & Heritage

Earl Grey, black tea scented with citrusy bergamot, is named after Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey and British Prime Minister in the 1830s. The popular story of a Chinese mandarin's gift is generally regarded as legend, and bergamot-scented tea was already sold in England by the 1820s. Because the name was never trademarked, blenders have created many variations. Here, we have combined our classic Earl Grey tea with versatile, floral lavender flowers.

Interesting Facts

  • Our classic Earl Grey uses a Sri Lankan black tea scented with bergamot oil.

Tasting Notes & Pairings

The result is a soothing, floral and mellow Earl Grey. Enjoy it plain or as a lavender London Fog with steamed milk and a touch of honey. Pair it with lemon shortbread, blueberry scones, or vanilla cake.

Brewing tips (general guideline): use 1 rounded teaspoon (about 2–3 g) per 8 oz of freshly boiled water (205–212°F), steeped 3–5 minutes. Adjust to taste.
