Spiced Chai for Crisp October Nights

Halloween week always sneaks up on me. One minute the leaves are just starting to turn, and the next I'm looking for a mug that feels a little warmer, a little spicier, and still easy on the wallet.

That's when I reach for our Spiced Chai.

What makes this blend different

This is a full-bodied black tea blended with seven classic spices: cinnamon, ginger, green cardamom pods, allspice, cloves, and black pepper. It brews into a warm cup with a gentle peppery kick, aromatic without tasting artificial.

If Masala Chai is the one you already know from our shop, Spiced Chai sits right beside it with a little more allspice and that black-pepper finish. Excellent hot, and it holds up iced if a warm October afternoon shows up again.

Samples start at $2.95, so you can try it before you commit to a bigger bag. Same idea we've always had: quality loose leaf at prices that make sense for everyday drinking.

How we brew it at home

Turn the bag upside down a few times first. The powdered spices like to settle at the bottom.

For each 8 oz cup:

  • Use 1 heaping teaspoon of Spiced Chai

  • Pour freshly boiled water (212°F / 100°C) over the leaves

  • Steep 4–5 minutes (go longer if you want more spice)

  • Add warm milk and a touch of honey or sugar to taste

Pair it with oatmeal cookies, apple pie, or just a quiet porch minute while the kids are out trick-or-treating. Around here that counts as a solid October plan.
